Clinical Medical Manager

Role & Responsibilities
• Drive clinical trial excellence by providing scientific insights and strategic medical leadership across assigned studies
• Develop and implement scientific strategies for early clinical development and portfolio execution in India
• Partner with Clinical Operations Therapy Area Leads and Trial Managers on early trial planning, start-up, recruitment, and retention
• Provide scientific input into trial portfolio reviews, country allocation decisions, and site feasibility assessments
• Conduct periodic site visits to support clinical trial conduct, discuss strategies, and gather insights from investigators and site staff
• Contribute to site selection criteria by assessing medical capabilities and identifying scientific training needs
• Engage and build long-term relationships with Principal Investigators and Key Opinion Leaders to optimize trial methodologies
• Support mitigation of recruitment and retention challenges through scientific and operational insights
• Provide cross-functional scientific leadership and contribute to capability building initiatives
• Leverage data-driven approaches and digital tools, including AI-based solutions, to improve trial execution and outcomes

Qualification
• MBBS with MD in a relevant medical discipline

Experience
• 4–8 years of experience in clinical development or medical affairs strategic roles within the pharmaceutical industry
• Prior experience in clinical practice or clinical research settings

Skills
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical drug development and the end-to-end value chain
• In-depth knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines, regulatory requirements, and clinical trial methodology
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and medical writing skills
• Strong stakeholder management with the ability to influence internal and external audiences
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Ability to innovate, drive continuous improvement, and adapt to change
• Willingness to travel for clinical trial site visits as per business needs
