Cardio Pulmonary Physiotherapist

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assess patients’ respiratory and cardiovascular status including breathing patterns, lung function, oxygen saturation, and endurance
• Develop individualized, evidence-based cardiopulmonary rehabilitation plans
• Perform airway clearance techniques such as chest percussion, postural drainage, vibration, and assisted coughing
• Design and supervise exercise rehabilitation programs including walking, cycling, and strength training
• Provide post-cardiac event rehabilitation for patients after bypass surgery, heart attack, or other cardiac procedures
• Teach breathing retraining techniques such as diaphragmatic and pursed-lip breathing
• Deliver early mobilization and respiratory care for ICU and post-surgical patients
• Monitor vital signs including blood pressure and heart rate to ensure patient safety
• Educate patients and families on self-management, lifestyle modifications, and energy conservation

QUALIFICATIONS:
• BPT / MPT with specialization or strong exposure in Cardio Pulmonary Physiotherapy
• Valid Physiotherapy registration

EXPERIENCE:
• Prior experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, ICU, or hospital-based physiotherapy preferred
• Candidates with hands-on clinical exposure will be given preference

SKILLS:
• Strong diagnostic evaluation and clinical assessment skills
• Knowledge of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation protocols
• Ability to manage acute and post-operative patients
• Good communication and patient education skills
• Safety-focused and detail-oriented approach to care
