Business Development Manager - Dermatology
About the Role
Roles & Responsibilities
• Promote dermatology products to dermatologists, clinics, and hospitals within the assigned territory
• Achieve primary and secondary sales targets as per company objectives
• Develop and execute effective territory business plans to drive market growth
• Identify new business opportunities and expand customer base
• Maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals
• Conduct CMEs, product presentations, and promotional campaigns
• Monitor competitor activities and provide regular market intelligence feedback
• Ensure product availability and coordinate effectively with distributors and supply chain teams
• Maintain accurate sales reports, call records, and performance data
• Participate in review meetings and contribute to strategic sales planning
Qualification
• B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) / M.Pharm (Master of Pharmacy) / B.Sc / M.Sc
• MBA in Marketing preferred
Experience
• 3–7 years of pharmaceutical sales experience
• Prior experience in Dermatology segment preferred
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
Skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Excellent relationship-building and negotiation abilities
• Target-driven with strong business acumen
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage territory operations effectively
• Adaptability and willingness to travel within assigned area
