About the Role
Roles & Responsibilities
• Diagnose and manage patients with neurological disorders including stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, neuromuscular diseases, headache, dementia, and neuroinfections.
• Perform detailed neurological examinations and formulate treatment plans.
• Provide inpatient care, conduct ward rounds, and handle emergency neurology consultations.
• Manage outpatient clinics independently or under supervision.
• Assist in neurological procedures such as lumbar puncture, nerve conduction studies, EMG, EEG, or botulinum toxin injections (as per training).
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including neurosurgery, radiology, rehabilitation, and ICU.
• Participate in clinical research, audits, and publications (if applicable).
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and ethical standards.
• Participate in on-call duties as per departmental schedule.
Qualification
• MBBS, Doctor of Medicine (MD), or DM in Neurology.
Experience
• 0 - 5 years of experience in Neurology.
