Assistant Nurse - OPD

Role & Responsibilities
• Provide and coordinate safe, compassionate, and individualized patient care in OPD settings
• Perform systematic patient assessments, re-assessments, and collect relevant clinical data
• Identify actual and potential nursing diagnoses and define expected patient outcomes
• Develop and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team
• Record vital signs, recognize abnormalities, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during procedures
• Administer medications, injections, immunizations, IV therapies, blood products, and monitor for adverse reactions
• Provide wound care management and assist in invasive and non-invasive procedures
• Facilitate safe patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes
• Respond to patient calls, messages, and triage concerns appropriately
• Ensure adherence to infection control standards and patient safety protocols
• Perform essential life support procedures including BLS, ACLS, PALS, or NRP as required
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical record systems
• Support NMC Nursing Mission, Vision, Values, and Nursing Strategy in daily practice
• Participate in continuous learning and contribute to a collaborative healthcare environment

Qualification
• Appropriate Registered Nurse license from relevant UAE regulatory authority
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent qualification
• Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification
• Ability to manage professional re-licensure requirements

Experience
• 3 – 8 years of nursing experience
• Experience in OPD or clinical outpatient settings preferred
