Assistant Nurse

Role & Responsibilities
• Provide patient-centred nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within the Surgical Clinic
• Assist in assessing, intervening, and evaluating patient health and functional status
• Support patients with activities of daily living to promote independence
• Monitor and report changes in patient health and functional status to the Registered Nurse
• Maintain continuous communication with the healthcare team regarding patient care
• Provide relevant healthcare information and emotional support to patients and families
• Practice within legal and ethical frameworks of the hospital and Dubai Health Authority
• Maintain accountability for personal nursing actions and decisions
• Contribute to a safe and effective clinical practice environment
• Participate in ongoing professional development and education programs
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
• Assist patients with bathing, feeding, mobility, and comfort care
• Remove peripheral intravenous lines as instructed by the Registered Nurse
• Monitor and document accurate intake and output
• Measure and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration
• Monitor pain levels and report findings to the healthcare team

Qualification
• Diploma of Nursing with a minimum course duration of 18 months
• Valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) License
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

Experience
• 1 to 7 years of relevant nursing experience
• Experience in surgical or hospital-based settings preferred

Skills
• Strong patient care and observational skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and infection control
• Attention to detail and accurate documentation
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach
