About the Role
Role & Responsibilities
• Perform pre-anesthetic evaluations and assess patient fitness for anesthesia
• Develop and implement appropriate anesthesia plans for surgical and diagnostic procedures
• Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia safely
• Monitor patients during surgery and manage intraoperative complications
• Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management
• Respond to anesthesia-related emergencies and critical situations
• Maintain accurate anesthesia records and clinical documentation
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and operating room staff
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control protocols
Qualifications & Experience
• Medical degree with specialization in Anesthesiology
• Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification – Mandatory
• Eligible to practice as an Anesthesia Specialist in Saudi Arabia
• Relevant clinical experience in hospital or surgical settings
• Saudi National preferred (as per employer requirement)
Skills
• Strong clinical knowledge of anesthesia techniques and monitoring
• Excellent decision-making and crisis management skills
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Strong commitment to patient safety and ethical medical practice
Preferred
• Experience in tertiary or multi-specialty hospitals
• Familiarity with modern anesthesia equipment and monitoring systems
• Immediate availability or short notice period
