Advisor Injury Management
About the Role
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Act as the initial contact for injured personnel returning from site, providing ongoing support.
• Attend initial and ongoing medical appointments to facilitate early and safe return to work.
• Liaise with healthcare providers to understand medical management plans and coordinate return-to-work opportunities.
• Submit Workers Compensation and income protection claims to insurers.
• Maintain injury management records in Solv Injury database.
• Provide injury classification guidance to HSEQT teams and project stakeholders.
• Update senior managers on injury management cases and progress.
• Facilitate fitness-for-work assessments and develop Return to Work (RTW) plans.
• Ensure Workers Compensation and Income Protection payments align with insurer requirements.
• Undertake adhoc travel to sites as required, with possible weekend contact with injured personnel.
Qualification:
• Minimum Certificate IV in Personal Injury Management (or related field).
• Health background (Paramedic, Nursing, or Ancillary Health) highly desirable.
Experience:
• Minimum two years’ experience in a similar injury management role.
• Preferably experience within a mine site environment.
• Familiarity with Workers Compensation and Injury Management legislation across multiple Australian jurisdictions.
Skills:
• Strong knowledge of Injury Management and Workers Compensation processes.
• Medical clearance and return-to-work coordination expertise.
• Working knowledge of injury management databases (Solv Injury preferred).
• High-level interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
