Tasks and Duties for Pharmacist Position
As a Pharmacist at Christopher Chemist, your key responsibilities will include:
Accurately receiving prescriptions, reviewing patient medication histories, and ensuring the correct dosage, administration methods, and drug compatibility before dispensing.
Overseeing or directly preparing and labeling liquid medicines, ointments, powders, tablets, and other medications in accordance with prescriptions.
Providing guidance to prescribers regarding drug incompatibilities and contraindications.
Reviewing and monitoring individual patients' medication therapies to assess and enhance treatment plans' effectiveness.
Maintaining detailed prescription files and documenting the distribution of narcotics, poisons, and habit-forming substances.
Ensuring the proper storage and preservation of vaccines, serums, and other drugs susceptible to deterioration.
Providing non-prescription medications and diagnostic and therapeutic aids to customers.
Managing and coordinating activities of Pharmacy Technicians, pharmacy interns, and Pharmacy Sales Assistants.
Conducting research aimed at developing and enhancing pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and related chemical products.
Engaging with Chemists, Engineers, and other experts to discuss manufacturing techniques and ingredient selection.
Testing and analyzing drugs to verify their identity, purity, and strength against established standards.
Establishing and refining standards for drugs used in pharmaceutical applications.
