As a QPain receptionist you are the first point of contact and integral part of the team.
Qualifications & experience
Previous experience (at least 12 months) working as a Medical Receptionist - specialist medical reception experience highly regarded.
Empathetic nature and compassion for people in chronic pain
Experience with Genie practice software and knowledge of IMedX - highly regarded
Strong attention to detail is essential and ability to to multi-task
Attention to detail and proficiency in task deadlines
Proficient typing and computer skills
Strong time management skills and accountability
Professional presentation with outstanding manners
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A sound knowledge of Medicare, DVA, WorkCover and Private Health Fund billing
Tasks & responsibilities
Greeting and checking-in patients on arrival at the clinic & maintaining our rooms, ensuring all areas are clean, tidy and ready for the start of each clinic
Manage doctors’ schedules
Booking and managing patient appointments and referrals
Answering the telephone and handling patient queries and requests
Ensuring patient confidentiality is maintained at all times
Sending and processing confidential patient correspondence & email management
Liaising with other hospitals, doctors and medical practices
Health fund and Medicare claim processing and billing of consultations
Scanning and uploading information into patient charts
Surgery applications and administration of theatre lists
Knowledge of WorkCover & third party providers
Ad hoc tasks as directed by the Practice Manager
