Participation in quality management and quality assurance activities including internal and external quality control programs.
Performance of laboratory investigations and established laboratory tests as required in the Microbiology Laboratory.

Demonstrated ability to follow written instructions, including laboratory manuals and basic maintenance procedures on laboratory equipment.
A commitment to the maintenance of high professional standards and a demonstrated commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement.
Knowledge of, or ability to acquire knowledge of, procedure, policies and regulations which impact on the position, in particular the Queensland Health Code of Conduct, and a knowledge of contemporary human resource management issues such as workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination.
Qualifications, registrations and other requirements
While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded, e.g. appropriate TAFE qualification such as Certificate in Laboratory Techniques, or equivalent.
