Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Filling prescriptions: Ensuring the correct dosage and amount of medication is filled based on a physician's instructions

Checking for interactions: Reviewing a patient's medical history and other medications to ensure the prescription won't cause an adverse reaction

Educating patients: Instructing patients on how to take their medication, its side effects, and how to store it

Administering vaccinations: Giving vaccinations, such as the flu shot

Advising on health topics: Providing general health advice, such as on exercise, stress management, and other health issues
